Headshot

What do you expect from a writer? Easy: compelling ad copy, executive speeches, letters to clients, entertaining presentations and high-quality editing to name a few essentials. I’ve got examples of all of the above. Just send me an e-mail or click here if you want to see some right now.

But what do you want from a writer? You want someone you can work with. That is, someone with whom you can work. And why on earth would you work with me? Let's get down to it...

Because it’s the soft skills that set me apart: the personality traits, the attitudes and the outlook.

  1. I avoid office politics like Muhammad Ali dodged punches.
  2. I have “On time and on budget” tattooed on my forearm (a white lie but you get my point).
  3. A famous Broadheadism: Humour gets us through the day but so does staying quiet.
  4. I share my best ideas and I’ll champion yours.

I have a few beliefs that you’ll want to know about. Here are my Six (updated) Tenets of Effective Communications:

  1. Thoughtful ideas trump blind optimism.
  2. There is always a better way to say something.
  3. Customization is key.
  4. Try to know everything about your clients and let your clients know everything about you.
  5. Do not underestimate social media (your competitor doesn’t).
  6. Indecision is the bubonic plague of effective communications.

Samples of my best work are here.
